Hello,
how can we help you?

How can I apply for a payment plan as a self-employed person?

Can't manage to pay the contributions on time? Then you can get a payment plan with a maximum duration of 12 months. Send a reasonable proposal by e-mail to your customer advisor.

Important conditions for setting up a payment plan are:

  • An advance of 20% of the amount due must be paid before the payment plan starts. If you do not pay an advance, you cannot get a payment plan either. When several repayment plans were withdrawn for non-compliance (twice in the past 3 years), the advance to start a new repayment plan is increased to 50%.
  • After paying the advance, the rest of the debt can then be included in a payment plan, fixed over a maximum of 12 monthly payments. (In exceptional cases and with appropriate motivation, this can be deviated from).
  • Contributions from current quarters must be paid on time in addition to the payment plan, otherwise the payment plan will be withdrawn.

Also keep in mind that the legal increases of 3% per quarter and 7% per new calendar year for late payment continue to increase during the installment plan. So the final payment will be higher than the normal monthly amount.

For more info on legal increases, see https://www.liantis.be/nl/zelfstandig-worden/sociale-bijdragen/wettelijke-verhoging. Here you will also find interesting information about the application for remission of the increases, which can be submitted when all social contributions have effectively been paid.

If you have a proposal for a payment plan that meets the above conditions, please forward it directly to your customer advisor. You will find the contact details of your personal customer advisor on My Liantis under Contact on the left-hand side of your screen.
