A flexi-job gives employees the opportunity to do extra jobs in an advantageous way in addition to their main job. However, there are strict conditions attached to it.
Conditions
- Employees: The employee must have worked at least four-fifths or full-time three quarters ago in paid employment, with one or more Belgian employers than the employer of the flexi-job.
- Pensioners: The pension must have been entered into at the latest on the last day of two quarters before the employment start date.
Advantages
A flexi-job is fiscally and socially advantageous. It is tax-free, your gross salary is equal to your net salary and you build up social rights.
For the time being, the number of hours or days allowed to work through a flexi-job is unlimited. If in doubt, it is best to contact the Auxiliary Fund or the Federal Pension Service.
